I am a data scientist (PhD) with a background in environmental resources management. I have extensive knowledge of hydrological analysis techniques and water management issues. I have expertise in a wide array of statistical tools and analyses, most notably cluster analysis, (non-linear) time series analysis, dynamic factor analysis and occupancy models. I have experience with modeling/simulating biological and environmental systems. Proficient in R, knowledgeable of Python, Fortran and Matlab.
My main interest lies in time series analysis, causality mechanisms, ecosystem services and research on alternative stable states in (socio-ecological) systems. Have a look at my research page to see what I am working on now, plus links to publications and code. My blog page is a collection of interesting notes on (socio-)ecological modeling, stuff other people are working on, and currently (May 2017) posts on developing occupancy models. |
